Žabljak | Montenegro

Žabljak is a small mountain town, located at the altitude of 1456m within the Durmitor National Park. With about 25 lakes in its vicinity, among which Crno jezero stands out with its beauty, it is an ideal destination for all nature lovers. You can enjoy long walks, cycling, rafting through the canyon of the river Tara or skiing in the winter. Žabljak is 139km from Podgorica, if you travel by highway which passes through Nikšić, and 170km if you choose the route through Kolašin and Mojkovac, which passes through the canyons of the rivers Morača and Tara. Montenegrins think of Žabljak as their ecological capital. Do not miss to try Montenegrin delicacies in one of local ethnic food restaurants.
