In the Skadarsko Lake region, in the village of Limljani, the homeland of Vranac, the local type of grapevines, the first privately registered wine cellar in Montenegro has been opened. Owner Milenko K. Sjekloća has continued the five-century old family tradition and on his estate produces high quality wine and grape brandy. Combining the knowledge passed down from his father, modern technology and a great love for wine, Milenko has been winning medals for quality at international fairs for years. While visiting the Skadarsko Lake National Park, wine tasting and lunch in nature, alongside grapevines which are over a hundred years old, completes a perfect day. A visit can be arranged for 50€ per person. Included in the price is the vineyard and wine cellar tour with the expert guidance of a friendly host, tasting of three limited production wines and homemade snacks. With previous arrangements, lunch can also be organized.
